Survivors
All survivors featured in DBDLE. They appear in both the Survivor (silhouette) and the Perk modes.

Ada Wong
Ada Wong works for whoever she is really working for, was nearly killed in a Los Illuminados ritual, and chased the Las Plagas parasite with Umbrella watching. Wiretap turns a generator into a camera, and Low Profile hides her once she is the last one standing.

Adam Francis
Adam Francis trained in Kagoshima after taking a teaching post overseas, and walked away from a derailment that flipped the carriages upside down. Deliverance lets him free himself from a hook, and Autodidact turns his own missed skill checks into skill.

Aestri & Baermar
Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz are two bards out of Oerth who travelled to the Free City of Greyhawk to put the balance right, and were taken by the fog after Baermar read an incantation aloud in the Rotted Tower of Vecna. Bardic Inspiration rolls a die for the whole team, and Mirrored Illusion leaves a copy of them behind.

Alan Wake
Alan Wake disappeared from Bright Falls thirteen years ago into the Dark Place, and kept typing there, rebuilding a Dead of Night script from memory to write himself a way out. Champion of Light turns his flashlight into a weapon, and Deadline puts the pressure back on the skill checks.

Ash Williams
Ash Williams found the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis at a cabin and had to kill his own possessed friends, then spent thirty years behind a counter at Value Stop before Evil found him again. Mettle of Man makes him take one more hit than he should, and Flip-Flop gets him back up.

Bill Overbeck
Bill Overbeck served two tours in Vietnam and was discharged with a knee full of shrapnel, then held the line for a group of survivors long enough for them to get clear. Borrowed Time and Unbreakable are the same instinct twice: nobody gets left.

Cheryl Mason
Cheryl Mason grew up as Heather, buried her adoptive father Harry Mason, and was volunteering at a crisis line when a call came through with static and Claudia's voice inside it. Soul Guard and Repressed Alliance are what Silent Hill taught her.

Claudette Morel
Claudette Morel is a botanist from Montreal who earned a scholarship early, then got turned around in the woods on a bus trip and never found her way back. Botany Knowledge and Self-Care turn what she knows about plants into medicine on the spot.

David Tapp
Detective David Tapp lost his partner Stephen Sing to Jigsaw at an abandoned mannequin factory, and was shot in the chest still working the case. Detective's Hunch reads the map like evidence, and Tenacity keeps him crawling.

Dustin Henderson
Dustin Henderson faced the Demogorgon and the Mind Flayer in Hawkins, Indiana, and went looking for answers when the gates tore the town open again. Bada Bada Boom and Teamwork: Full Circuit are exactly the kind of plan he would draw out on a whiteboard first.

Dwight Fairfield
Dwight Fairfield was left in the woods after a team building night his boss ran on moonshine, which is roughly the luck he has always had. He leads anyway: Bond shows him his teammates through walls, and Prove Thyself makes a shared generator faster for everyone on it.

Eleven
Eleven was taken from her mother and raised as a test subject, and it was her own experiment that opened the gateway to the Upside Down. Extrasensory Perception and We See You put her back where she was always most useful: seeing what nobody else can.

Ellen Ripley
Ellen Ripley was the Nostromo's warrant officer, the one who tried to hold quarantine when the creature came aboard, and who put it out of an airlock herself. Chemical Trap rigs a pallet, and Light-Footed silences her running when it matters.

Élodie Rakoto
Élodie Rakoto lost her parents on Dyer Island after finding an underground laboratory covered in strange markings, and was stabbed in the Paris catacombs retrieving a witch's skull for the Collector. Deception sells a locker she never entered, and Power Struggle turns a pallet into a stun.

Haddie Kaur
Haddie Kaur lost her parents in a car crash in rural Quebec and now records a podcast on the paranormal; she documented the residual memories left in the Dorea Institute. Residual Manifest blinds the killer and reveals what he leaves behind, and Inner Focus tells her when someone goes down.

Jake Park
Jake Park dropped out against his CEO father's wishes and went to live off the grid in the woods; the search for him was called off because of the weather. Iron Will keeps him silent while injured, and Saboteur takes the hooks out of the equation.

Jane Romero
Jane Romero, daughter of the actress Loretta Lawrence, built The Jane Romero Show into a national programme by covering what nobody else would touch. Head On turns a locker into a stun, and Solidarity heals her own wounds while she works on someone else's.

Jeff Johansen
Jeff Johansen painted a mural of The Legion at an abandoned lodge on Mount Ormond, and stayed in town after a fight at a concert nearly cost him his eyesight. Distortion hides his aura from the killer, and Aftercare keeps his team lit up for each other.

Jill Valentine
Jill Valentine, a founding member of S.T.A.R.S., pulled her team out of Raccoon City with Nemesis behind her and got clear through a cold room. Blast Mine rigs a generator to go off in the killer's face, and Counterforce strips totems fast.

Jonah Vasquez
Jonah Vasquez is a CIA codebreaker who was given a card of numbers for his sixteenth birthday that turned out to be coordinates to a Chilean graveyard. Overcome stretches a hit into a longer sprint, and Boon: Exponential gets his team off the ground.

Kwon Tae-young

Lara Croft
Lara Croft's ship broke in two in a storm on the way to Yamatai, and the Solarii Brotherhood took her while she was looking for her friend Sam. Finesse speeds up her fast vaults, and Specialist turns opened chests into generator progress.

Laurie Strode
Laurie Strode was babysitting Lindsey Wallace and Tommy Doyle the night Michael Myers started following her. Decisive Strike is what she does to anyone who picks her up a second time, and Object of Obsession stares back at whoever is staring at her.

Leon S. Kennedy
Leon S. Kennedy's first day as a Raccoon City police officer was the day the streets filled with the dead, and he was still searching an abandoned Umbrella laboratory when a black fog took him. Flashbang and Bite the Bullet are rookie improvisation turned into method.

Meg Thomas
Meg Thomas gave up her place at college to look after her sick mother, and kept running to stay sane. She vanished on a long run deep in the woods, and she still moves like it, with Sprint Burst and Adrenaline.

Michonne
Michonne lost her son Andre and her partner Mike when walkers took their camp, found Rick Grimes and Alexandria afterwards, then set out alone to look for him again. Conviction and Last Stand are both about holding a line for somebody else.

Mikaela Reid
Mikaela Reid lost her father at sixteen and ran a Friday open mic at the Moonstone coffee shop, telling horror stories out loud to a room. Boon: Circle of Healing and Boon: Shadow Step let her bless a totem and turn the killer's own ground against him.

Nancy Wheeler
Nancy Wheeler started investigating when her friend Barb went missing, and got close enough to Hawkins National Laboratory to lose consciousness there. Inner Strength heals her inside a locker, and Fixated shows her the scratch marks she leaves.

Nea Karlsson
Nea Karlsson grew up in Hjo, Sweden, tagged government buildings in the United States as Mashtyx, and disappeared after a dare to paint the old asylum. Urban Evasion lets her cross the map crouched at speed, and Balanced Landing turns a drop into distance.

Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage read a script called Descend Beyond, flew to a Pacific island for it, and was walked by armed guards to the director Pauline Stamper at an ancient temple, where the scene turned out to be a ritual. Dramaturgy rolls the dice on his next move, and Plot Twist lets him go down on purpose.

Orela Rose
Orela Rose is a Chicago paramedic who lost her friend Emily to an electrocution in a haunted house the two of them built, and who later pulled the billionaire Jon Kingsley out of a car wreck. He funded her horror restaurant, Screams in the Dark, and Do No Harm and Rapid Response are simply the job.

Quentin Smith
Quentin Smith studied lucid dreaming to fight Freddy Krueger on his own ground, and set a trap with paint thinner at Badham Preschool. Wake Up! and Vigil are both about staying awake longer than the thing hunting you.

Rebecca Chambers
Rebecca Chambers finished college at eighteen and was the medic on the team that found mutated animals and the walking dead at the Arklay facility. Better than New speeds up whoever she has just healed, and Hyperfocus rewards a clean run of skill checks.

Renato Lyra
Renato Lyra ran Fun Kites Rio with his sister Thalita, and went into the forest after a fallen kite to meet an armoured woman and her drones. Background Player gets him across the map for the save, and Blood Rush buys one more exhausted escape.

Rick Grimes
Rick Grimes woke from a coma into a world already overrun, and blew a bridge to pull the walkers away from Alexandria. Come and Get Me! and Teamwork: Toughen Up are the same trade he keeps making: take the attention, give the others room.

Sable Ward
Sable Ward broadcast a guerrilla radio show, All Things Wicked This Night, on shortwave from her attic, and found a door in a theatre basement after Mikaela disappeared during the Halloween festival. Wicked and Invocation: Weaving Spiders both trade her own health for the group's.

Shane Wiigwaas
Shane Wiigwaas is a defence attorney from the Anishinaabek of Glass River First Nation who took his cousin Derek's case after a traffic stop that involved a black fog. It led him to Blood Mountain in Georgia, to Jake Park, and to a clearing full of victims from every era; Cross-Examination and Lend a Hand came back with him.

Steve Harrington
Steve Harrington helped Dustin Henderson look after a Demogorgon called D'Artagnan, then drove to Hawkins National Laboratory on a call from Nancy and found nothing but her notebook. Babysitter and Camaraderie are exactly the role he ended up in.

Taurie Cain
Taurie Cain went into the Bleed at Göbekli Tepe without protective gear to find her parents, and got out only because her brother Ewan drew the creatures off in an oversized hazmat suit. Shoulder the Burden takes another survivor's hook state, and Invocation: Treacherous Crows costs her something to warn the rest.

Thalita Lyra
Thalita Lyra quit modelling to open Fun Kites Rio with her brother Renato, and chased a drone into the forest during their first tournament. Cut Loose and Teamwork: Power of Two run on the same idea: never fly alone.

Trevor Belmont
Trevor Belmont put Dracula down in 1476 with the Vampire Killer, then came home to a deserted village and a black fog. Eyes of Belmont and Moment of Glory are the tools of a hunter used to being the last one on his feet.

Vee Boonyasak
Vee Boonyasak joined the band Axekick when their drum machine died mid-show at an abandoned opera venue, and found a cassette in the dressing room full of sounds that should not be on tape. Ghost Notes and One-Two-Three-Four! keep her team on tempo.

Yun-Jin Lee
Yun-Jin Lee produced the boy band NO SPIN and relaunched it around Ji-woon Hak, and was there when every other member died in a studio fire. Fast Track converts other people's work into her own progress, and Self-Preservation is the honest name for the rest.

Zarina Kassir
Zarina Kassir lost her father when Clark Stevenson pushed him into traffic near their Brooklyn home, and later walked into Hellshire Penitentiary as a tourist to document the Mad Mick Massacre. Off the Record and For the People are a journalist's perks: cover the source, take the hit.
