Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about DBDLE, the daily Dead by Daylight guessing game.
What is DBDLE?
DBDLE is a free daily guessing game inspired by Wordle and LoLdle, set in the Dead by Daylight universe. Each day offers six puzzles: guess the killer of the day from attribute clues, from a blurred silhouette or from their power icon; guess the survivor from a blurred portrait or from their signature perk icon; and guess the map of the day from a zoomed-in image.
Is the game free?
Yes, DBDLE is completely free. The site is funded by advertising, which covers hosting costs and helps keep building new modes and new games.
How often do the puzzles change?
A new puzzle for each mode is published every day at midnight (your device's local time). The answer is the same for every player on a given day.
How many game modes are there?
Six modes: Killer (attribute clues), Silhouette (blurred render), Power (icon revealed tile by tile), Survivor (blurred portrait), Perk (icon revealed tile by tile) and Map (image that zooms out). Each has its own daily puzzle.
Is there a limit on guesses?
No, guesses are unlimited and there is no game over. The goal is to find the right answer in as few tries as possible, then share your result.
Do I need an account?
No account is required. Your progress and stats are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
Is DBDLE affiliated with Behaviour Interactive?
No. DBDLE is a fan project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Behaviour Interactive. Dead by Daylight and all related material are the property of Behaviour Interactive Inc.
