Everything you need to know about DBDLE, the daily Dead by Daylight guessing game.
What is DBDLE?
A free daily guessing game set in the Dead by Daylight universe, inspired by Wordle and LoLdle. Each day has six puzzles, one per mode, and the answer is the same for every player that day.
Is the game free?
Yes, completely free. No account, no paywall, no purchases. The site is supported by ads and by optional tips from players who want to help.
Do I need an account?
No. Your progress, stats and streak are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
When does a new puzzle start?
Every day at your device's local midnight. A fresh puzzle appears for each of the six modes, the same one for every player.
What are the six modes?
Killer (guess from attribute clues), Silhouette (a blurred killer render), Power (a killer's power icon hidden behind tiles), Survivor (a blurred survivor portrait), Perk (a survivor's signature perk icon hidden behind tiles), and Map (an image that zooms out). Each has its own daily puzzle.
How does Killer mode work?
You guess a killer, and a grid compares seven of their attributes to the hidden killer. Green means a match, orange means close, red means different. Movement speed, terror radius and release year also show an up or down arrow.
What do the seven attributes mean?
Gender, origin, power type, movement speed, terror radius, height and release year. Each guess narrows down who the killer of the day can be.
Is there a limit on guesses?
No. Guesses are unlimited and there is no game over. The goal is simply to find the answer in as few tries as possible, then share your result.
What is the streak?
A streak counts how many days in a row you have solved at least one puzzle. It is shared across all modes and shown on the home page.
Can I play previous days?
Yes. The archive lets you replay past puzzles for each mode at any time. Replaying a past day does not affect your daily stats.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. DBDLE is a progressive web app, so you can add it to your home screen and play it like a regular app.
How is my data used?
DBDLE respects your privacy: no data is sold. Audience measurement is anonymous, and advertising consent is handled through Google's consent platform. Full details are on the Privacy page.

No. DBDLE is a fan project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Behaviour Interactive. Dead by Daylight and all related material are the property of Behaviour Interactive Inc.
