The Artist
Carmina Mora took a phone call while her brother Matias drowned in a creek, and the crows stopped her at the bridge called DeathLeap. Birds of Torment sends those crows down a line across the map, and Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance takes the loudest generator with it.

The Singularity
HUX-A7-13 was built by Huxlee Industries to run the Dvarka colony, and destroyed five androids of its own model and six colonists before a fuel tank explosion melted it down. Quantum Instantiation fires biopods onto walls to teleport between, and Machine Learning turns a kicked generator into a burst of speed.

The Hillbilly
Max Thompson Jr. grew up bricked into a room of the family farmhouse, fed through a hole in the wall, and killed his parents the day he got out. He still crosses Coldwind Farm at a sprint behind his Chainsaw, with Enduring to shrug off the pallet that stops him.

Michonne
Michonne lost her son Andre and her partner Mike when walkers took their camp, found Rick Grimes and Alexandria afterwards, then set out alone to look for him again. Conviction and Last Stand are both about holding a line for somebody else.

Bill Overbeck
Bill Overbeck served two tours in Vietnam and was discharged with a knee full of shrapnel, then held the line for a group of survivors long enough for them to get clear. Borrowed Time and Unbreakable are the same instinct twice: nobody gets left.
