The Plague
Adiris was abandoned at the Temple of Purgation in Babylon as a child and rose to serve it, cutting off her own toe as an offering when the sickness came anyway. Vile Purge infects survivors and the fountains they cleanse at, and Corrupt Intervention blocks the far generators at the start.

The Legion
Frank Morrison, Julie Kostenko, Susie Lavoie and Joey Cadogan killed the caretaker who caught Julie during a break-in, and buried him on Mount Ormond. Feral Frenzy chains hits from one survivor to the next, and Discordance flags any generator two people are working on.

The Deathslinger
Caleb Quinn drove a railroad spike through Henry Bayshore and nailed him to his own desk, served fifteen years in Hellshire Penitentiary, then came back at the head of a gang. The Redeemer fires a harpoon and reels survivors in, and Dead Man's Switch blocks whatever they let go of.

Cheryl Mason
Cheryl Mason grew up as Heather, buried her adoptive father Harry Mason, and was volunteering at a crisis line when a call came through with static and Claudia's voice inside it. Soul Guard and Repressed Alliance are what Silent Hill taught her.

Sable Ward broadcast a guerrilla radio show, All Things Wicked This Night, on shortwave from her attic, and found a door in a theatre basement after Mikaela disappeared during the Halloween festival. Wicked and Invocation: Weaving Spiders both trade her own health for the group's.

Torment Creek
Torment Creek is one of the oldest buildings still standing on Coldwind Farm, a grain store that came down in the great storm of 2003. Twelve bodies were found buried in the ruins afterwards.
