Lisa Sherwood was held in a flooded swamp cellar by cannibals who tortured their prisoners, and she pulled free of her shackles to daub ritual symbols in blood on the floor. Those marks became the Blackened Catalyst, and her totems still carry Hex: Ruin and Hex: Devour Hope.

Adiris was abandoned at the Temple of Purgation in Babylon as a child and rose to serve it, cutting off her own toe as an offering when the sickness came anyway. Vile Purge infects survivors and the fountains they cleanse at, and Corrupt Intervention blocks the far generators at the start.

The Singularity

HUX-A7-13 was built by Huxlee Industries to run the Dvarka colony, and destroyed five androids of its own model and six colonists before a fuel tank explosion melted it down. Quantum Instantiation fires biopods onto walls to teleport between, and Machine Learning turns a kicked generator into a burst of speed.

Renato Lyra ran Fun Kites Rio with his sister Thalita, and went into the forest after a fallen kite to meet an armoured woman and her drones. Background Player gets him across the map for the save, and Blood Rush buys one more exhausted escape.
